Digital libraries just track you and suck you in to endless subscriptions. There are a lot of video sets simply worth owning, at least for the time being while you can still buy some sort of disc player.

Having the physical object has a benefit in that you can see and be reminded of the program to watch. Also you can dump the videos to a USB library and carry a lot of content with you. Imagine a USB case with a catalog of the movie series. Might require a couple dozen USB flash drives but cataloging and labeling keeps things organized and portable.
