Game Console Shelf
This project is to create some sort of shelf or rack to hold game consoles and other media devices in one place.
A couple factors I'm considering. Closed, attractiveness vs openness. Ventilation, looking like furniture vs looking like industrial IT equipment. Flexibility in shelf height. Mobile, on wheels. Cable management too.
I posted the question on some facebook groups about game storing game consoles. One user pointed out using a server rack. I learned about the U in server racks. At least for my purposes. 20-25u is about 4 foot tall. A 42u would be the really tall server racks. Too short, like the 15u in my opinion are only table top height. And while not bad, these don't offer enough shelves to hold several units. I learned about 2-post vs 4-post racks.
